Quiet Encounter Sculpture in Copper
It is in those quiet moments with the one you love when heartbeats can be heard and the rest of the world fades away. A perfect gift to celebrate an anniversary, to show someone how much you truly, deeply love them, or to celebrate the wedding of a special couple.
In the words of the artist’s father: ” WHEN I SEE `QUIET ENCOUNTERS` I SEE LOVERS CARING FOR EACH OTHER RATHER THAN THEMSELVES, RESPECTING IN HUMILITY THE DIFFERENCE EACH BRINGS. I SEE ACCEPTANCE TO COMMUNICATE IN WORDS, IN DEEDS, IN SILENCE. I SEE TWO HUMAN BEINGS MOLDED INTO ONE PERSONALITY YET MAKING EACH TWICE STRONGER THAN STANDING ON HIS OWN. I DREAM OF LOVERS AS GOD INTENDED THEM TO BE” – Richard Kramer
The Quiet Encounter sculpture is hand formed of copper with a special patina of deep blue and hints of soft green, which highlights its soft curves, then finished with a light clear coat. The sculpture stands 20″ high and 6″ wide (copper base is 4.5″ wide by 4″ deep). No two pieces are exactly alike. Perfect for indoor spaces. Sculpture may patina if left outdoors in the elements for extended periods of time.
Sculptor Boris Kramer heats, hammers, and forms the copper using blacksmith techniques until it emulates expressions of human relationships. For Boris, art must touch not just the mind but the heart as well.
